Star dome Trip

On Monday 23rd of june, Room 1 and I including Room 5 went on a Stardome trip to learn more about space, we all hopped on a bus with the Dep. Principle and the two teachers of our classes witches Mrs. Erick and Mrs. Setephano. We made our way to Onehunga well talking to one another, with the bus filled with chatter. We finally arrived at the Stardome building and as we left the bus, we then linked up in our two classes and waited patiently to be welcomed inside the building.

After waiting, we then walked together into the building and were warmly welcomed into this plant room where we sat down with a male worker assisted us and introduced himself as Josh to us, after that he then started giving us planets to pretend like we were the planets, then he started explaining things about the universe and about planets. After that we all sat down on the carpet. He asked us lots of questions but before that he explained to us that we would be going to this room which is called the planetarium.

Once we got in the planetarium, we then sat down on these relaxing chairs and looked at the roof which was round and huge with light shining down at us once everyone was seated the worker Mr. Josh then started talking to us through speakers, explaining what we are going to watch and when we can go to the toilets. When he was done explaining to us, he then played a video which was around 30 minutes. The video was about the meaning of every planet and interesting facts about the planets. Well doing this we calmly watched how amazing and unique every planet was.

Finally after sometime the video eventually ended and straight after that we then lined up outside the planetarium and walked out of the Stardome building all the way to the bus which was waiting for us. And once we sat inside the bus, we then went all the way back to school and ended the day normally.
